1.) Find a Quiet Place
- From a little kid all the way up to an adult going back to college, one of the most important things to remember when you are studying is that you are going to want to do almost anything else in the world because it is so boring. If you are in a place such as a TV room or in a room with other distractions, then expect that you are going to get distracted.
2.) Do Not Study For Excessive Periods of Time
- Break up your studying into small study sessions over time rather than trying to jam it all into your brain the day before a test. This will only make your brain get over used and you will quickly find your memory getting drained. Stretch your studying out for the week prior to the test and your brain will thank you.
3.) Study Before You Relax
- TV, computer, and other forms of entertainment are created to keep your attention for long periods of work. Make sure you get your work done before you start relaxing or else you might find it 1:00AM the night before the test before you know it.
4.) Do Not Sacrifice Sleep For Studying
- Nearly all tests are going to require you to use the analytical side of your brain which works best when you have gotten enough sleep the night before. Do not deprive yourself of sleep expecting to get a better grade.5.) Go To Class
5.) There is no substitution for attending class.
- You can study the book for hours and there is a possibility that nothing you read will be on the test. The only way to find out for sure is to actually attend the class and see what material the teacher or professor covers.
